How I Feel About My Tattoos, Years Later
There are 45 million people that will follow into this category and almost half of people between 18 and 35 have tattoos, and almost one in four regrets it. We have noticed that our younger patients have regrets about their tattoos. They got the tattoo when they were young with no research into the decision. During our recent study, we found out that there were a host of reports of ink complications, infections, toxin effects, scarring, burns, chronic irritations and much more. That was shocking to us and wanted to share that with our patients.
As you know, every tattoo has a story — of irresponsibility, friendship, a trip abroad. A story of letting a friend practice their tattooing skills or letting a tattoo artist demonstrate their lack thereof. Tattoos tell us something about a person, whether that person intends them to or not.
The most common infections associated with tattooing involve staphylococcus aureus or pseudomonas bacteria arising from poor skin preparation or equipment sterilization. “Staph” skin infections can become serious and even life-threatening, as antibiotic-resistant strains become more prevalent. Three percent of tattoos get infected, and almost four percent of people who get tattoos recount pain lasting more than a month. About 22 percent of participants with new tattoos reported persistent itching that lasted more than a month.
With such a large number considering tattoos at a young age, informing young people of the health and social risks could help them rethink it. Adding permanent body art education to health classes could mitigate some of these mistakes and decrease later regrets.
Ready to Remove it?
The best and most effective treatment is Pico technology that is the most advanced available technology in the market. The PicoWay laser is superior in that it can treat multi-colored tattoos on a variety of skin types. It also uses picosecond laser technology to deliver fast treatments, diminishing discomfort. This laser also delivers energy to targeted areas of ink in ultra-short pulses, breaking up ink particles for optimal results
Picoway laser allows you to feel confident in your decision. The procedure is as safe, effective, and as painless as possible. The tattoo removal process is spaced out over multiple sessions, depending on the size and quality of the tattoo. We are confident that we know the best way to remove a tattoo and we want to share our confidence with you!
Safe for More Skin Types
In the past, people with darker skin types who received laser treatment could develop dark spots or light spots because too much energy was absorbed into their skin. The PicoWay laser, on the other hand, is safe for a broad range of skin types.
Targets All Tattoo Colors
Different colors of tattoo ink respond best to different wavelengths of energy. With other laser tattoo removal methods, this can lead to uneven clearance as certain colors fade away and others remain visible. PicoWay laser can deliver different wavelengths, however, which will tackle even tough-to-treat blue and green tattoos.
